‘Womanhood’ still means something today. But what is it? How do we, as women, think of ourselves, our gender - how do we define our space?

I don’t believe we live in a post-feminist world, not for a heartbeat. But what’s holding women today back and what’s moving us forward isn’t clear cut. Perceptions that we have to be driven by our careers, or that we have to be driven by our wombs can be equally damaging. Letting our lives be dictated by the latest commercial can be just as harmful as letting our lives be dictated by our husbands.

So what does this mean? What is Womanhood Today? It’s a place to collect snapshots of how women are defining themselves - as bloggers, as individuals, as mothers, wives, authors, scientists, professionals. It’s a space where stories women are telling about themselves will be compiled and shared.
This isn’t a space to criticize, condemn, revolt. It’s a space to hear, learn and ask the question: What does womanhood today mean?

And it’s a space to think:
What’s holding us back? What’s moving us forward?
